How can I apply the law if I don’t respect the law personally? The community must see their Magisterial District Judge, as much an advocate as an enforcer of the law. I firmly believe that good character is key to this position. I will come to the office well prepared to serve in the capacity as Magisterial District Judge, knowing the rules related to this office is key to representing our justice system well and promoting confidence from the people who will depend on me to apply fair and equal justice to all. All of the aforementioned are commitments to my community. I am a graduate of the PA State Police, and a Democrat Committee person for Ward 13.3, which is an elected position, chosen by those living in my district. As of this writing, I continue to serve our city by being a member of the Housing Zoning Board, Fair Housing, and advisor to our youth that participate at the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg, and past CASA representative and Neighborhood Conflict Advisor. I assisted in developing the fair application of housing laws. I work with neighborhood groups on promoting clean and safe environments and neighborhoods. Helping seniors navigate systems to get needed access and resources for affordable housing, safe/livable housing and food (meals on wheels) to sustain their quality of life is critical to my being. My lifelong focus has been involvement in prevention and intervention services that reach our youth and senior citizen populations. I consider myself a role model, especially to the youth that I serve. I work hard to debunk this generalization by representing my city with respect for self and others, and ethical, honest, compassionate and fair behavior. As an African American male, living in communities that are often characterized in a negative light. I am a part of the fabric of my community. My direct relationship with the community and having knowledge/understanding of their needs qualifies me for the office of Magisterial District Judge. Experience: Public service has always been a priority in my life.
